PART I (INITIAL IMPRESSIONS):

I opened the plastic envelope that my G-bag arrived in, and immediately noticed that the logo on the bag was tastefully done. I don&#039;t like being a billboard wherever I go, and I liked the unimposing way the logo was tastefully embroidered in the front of the bag.

Looking the bag over, I noticed that the material seemed to be..............

  <title>Tamarack ATV Accessories announces &quot;Boom-It&quot; ATV Box</title>
  <link>http://atvfrontier.com/News/article/sid=403.html</link>
  <description>PUMP UP THE VOLUME!

Lowell, MICHIGAN – July 21st, 2008 – Tamarack™ ATV accessories, a company recognized for the “invention” of ATV boxes, has innovated the industry once again with the first “boom box” that doubles as a dry storage box for ATVs. While other “similar” products on the market offer waterproof stereos for ATV racks, the Boom-It adds the convenience of lockable dry storage. “We realized that having music on the trail was more popular than one might think. When we researched it, we found many home-made units with stereos and some companies offering solutions as well, but they all had one thing in common—they used rack space and did not offer storage, thus eliminating ones ability to mount any ATV box on the rack,” says National Sales Manager Sue Malbouef. The Tamarack “Boom-It” features a high-end JBL Marine® stereo, and two 5” 75-watt waterproof speakers. It is also Sirius®-ready, MP3 player compatible, and offers radio pre-set capability. “It was important that we featured a quality, re*****ble stereo manufacturer that is known for superiority, such as JBL. Since Tamarack has always been associated with excellence, we could not put our name on a product that wasn’t built to last,” explains Richard Carnegie, Director of Sales and Marketing. The Tamarack Boom-it began shipping to dealers in July 2008 and is available in black, red, and dark green.

  <title>ELKA SYSTEM 3 STEERING DAMPER: REVIEW</title>
  <link>http://atvfrontier.com/News/article/sid=401.html</link>
  <description>ELKA SYSTEM 3 STEERING DAMPER
REVIEW

BY

SCOTT MONROE
www.atvfrontier.com

First Impressions and Installation:

Many view steering dampers as necessities for racing and high performance applications in the MX (ATV and Motorcycle racing) and the street bike racing arena. This misconception hinders many enthusiasts the use and benefit they can provide for many different types of use for utility ATV applications. Especially considering with more and more manufacturers introducing power / electronic assisted steering units to the market which makes for some interesting comparison and myth busting. These myths and questions many enthusiasts want answered is what I am hoping to achieve .................

  <title>2009 Outlander 400XT MAX EFI REVIEW</title>
  <link>http://atvfrontier.com/News/article/sid=400.html</link>
  <description>2009 CAN-AM
Outlander 400XT MAX EFI
REVIEW

by

Scott Monroe

Introduction:

After spending the first part of our day riding the 400XT EFI we decided to keep on our journey to give each Outlander their time in the spot light. As with all the MAX versions of the Outlander, the SST frame has been lengthened to accommodate the longer wheelbase needed for the passenger seat / storage area.

We were excited to get some seat time on the MAX version in the one up configuration and the two up, wanting to see just how the 400cc motor and front struts handled the extra weight.

Introduction:

For 2009 the Can-Am Outlander 400 EFI continues Can-Am’s push to introduce the best sport utility ATV’s to the market. Does the Outlander 400XT EFI have what it takes to continue Can-Am’s reputation of bringing what ATV enthusiasts want in performance, power and workability to every division of the market? This is what we intended on finding out while putting the Outlander 400XT EFI through its paces.

  <description>Brian Hawthorne, BlueRibbon Coalition

Dear BRC Members, Supporters and Action Alert Subscribers,

As you know, &quot;form letter&quot; comments are rarely effective in moving a travel plan proposal. But there are exceptions.

There are situations where many &quot;form letters&quot; from concerned citizens can help keep trails open, especially where the agency has been heavy handed with OHV people.

The Holly Springs National Forest in Mississippi has been particularly heavy handed - WE NEED YOUR HELP.

<title>Maxxis Mud Bug Radial Tire Reivew</title>
  <link>http://atvfrontier.com/News/article/sid=396.html</link>
<description>The areas that I ride most include the foothills of the Canadian Rockies outside of Calgary, Alberta, logging trails in the mountains above the North Okanagan of British Columbia, and at on the beach at our cabin on Mara Lake, BC. I ride 12 months of the year, and as such, require a tire that is suitable to handle all types of weather and trail conditions. From dusty hard pack, to gravel, loose shale, beach sand, jagged rocks, muskeg, mud, snow, slush, ice, fallen logs, tree roots, grassland, and everything in between, these are the conditions that I encounter at times throughout the year. My tires have to be as suitable as possible for all of these conditions.

  <title>2009 Can-Am 2009 Model Line-up</title>
  <link>http://atvfrontier.com/News/article/sid=395.html</link>
  <description>.
.

BRP STRENGTHENS ITS CAN-AM ATV LINE-UP FOR 2009

Valcourt, Québec, May 31, 2008 – BRP&#039;s Can-Am™ all-terrain vehicles continues to be the ATV brand for enthusiasts. With its 2009 Can-Am recreation-utility and recreation-sport line-up, BRP is poised to further strengthen this position with model updates aimed squarely at riders who enjoy all-around performance.

“BRP continues to cater to the exacting requirements of the ATV enthusiast,” said Yves Leduc, vice-president and general manager, Can-Am division. &quot;For 2009, BRP enhances the performance of its top-of-the-line RenegadeTM and OutlanderTM models allowing the Can-Am brand to satisfy even better the needs of ATV enthusiasts. We are fully committed to being the brand that is recognized for performance, handling and innovative designs.&quot;

This is just the first announcement; the full 2009 Can-Am sport lineup will be introduced in August with more updates and exciting models.

Model updates for 2009

The powerful liquid-cooled, fuel-injected 800cc Rotax® engine found in the Outlander and Renegade models gets a nine-percent power increase on the top-end for 2009. The new 800R version of the engine powers the Outlander and Renegade ATVs from 0-60 MPH (0-97 KPH) almost one second faster than the previous year&#039;s 800 H.O. engine.

*The revised calibration of the 800R engine improves power delivery, bringing to enthusiasts more manageable low RPM power for tight, technical situations and high horsepower for when the rider needs it.

*In addition to the revised power pack, the Outlander 800R models get an exclusive new styling, with a new front fascia design featuring strong Can-Am DNA cues, as well as new bumpers on the XT package version.

*The 2009 Outlander family of award-winning recreation-utility models returns as the base of the Can-Am line-up. The Outlander comes in 800, 650, 500 and 400cc engine sizes – all with EFI, each the most powerful in its class and each available as a two-rider Outlander MAX version, an Outlander XT™ value-added package version, and an Outlander MAX XT version. And, for 2009, all Outlander models come standard with a high-density polyethylene injection-moulded skid plate.

*The full-featured Outlander MAX 800R EFI LTD two-up touring model is back with a new Radiant Red Metallic coloration and with its amazing package of factory-installed amenities:removable GPS receiver, winch system, mud guards, cast aluminium wheels, and more.

The Renegade 800R EFI and the Renegade 800R EFI XTM with their new power, and
Renegade 500 EFI models return with the unique blend of sport handling and assertive
looks, combined with 4x4 capabilities. Both the Renegade 800R and 500 are also available with a new red coloration for 2009.

BRP’s entry-level recreation-sport ATV, the DS 250®, returns with updated headlights and coloration options to offer consumers comfortable ergonomics and superb entry-level performance. With these updates to Can-Am recreation-utility and recreation-sport line-up, and the return of the DS 90TM XTM, DS 90TM and DS 70TM four-stroke youth models, Can-Am is poised to meet the needs of the discerning ATV enthusiast in 2009.
