Yamaha ATV 2007 Grizzly 700 FI w/EPS Review
Posted by CanadianViking on Thursday, October 04, 2007 (20:40:27) (2508 reads)

ATV Illustrated Magazine has posted a review of the 2007 Grizzly 700:

In North America, the reigning king throughout many parts of the forest is a ferocious giant known as the Grizzly Bear. While the grizzly normally waddles along with an awkward swagger, it has the ability to sprint at very high speeds. Although Yamaha’s Grizzly 700 is far from awkward at low speeds, it does have the ability to get from Point A to Point B at a very high rate of speed, much like the creature after which Yamaha so aptly named it. Also like its namesake, during hibernation—somewhere between 2006 and 2007—the Grizzly grew in both size and performance. It also received many small improvements that built on an already stable platform. Back in our October 2006 issue we wrote about our first ride on the new Grizzly 700 EFI and pointed out many of its new features, such as the industry-first power steering and a punched-out powerplant from the previous year. In that article we pointed out all the hot new features on this model and gave you our initial ride impressions. Now, after putting the Grizzly 700 to work and taking it out to play for six straight months, we’re back to let you know how well (or poorly) this model withstood the test of time. During this long-term workout we wanted to test many different aspects of the machine’s makeup. We intended to put it through its paces at both work and play, to find out if this critter rears up on its hind legs and bellows like its full-size namesake or squeaks like a cub just crawling out of its den.

Yamaha ATV Project Grizzly: Tips for buying a used ATV
Posted by CanadianViking on Thursday, August 09, 2007 (16:53:58) (1537 reads)

We've recently posted a new "Project ATV" article that contains some tips & suggestions to consider when buying a used/pre-owned ATV. The subject of the article is a 2004 Yamaha Grizzly 660:

ATVs are expensive. Plain and simple, its a significant investment to own, operate and maintain an ATV. With the explosion of popularity of ATVs over the past decade, prices of new ATVs have also increased. Many people are now looking at used ATVs as their opportunity for ATV ownership.

Buying a used ATV can be a scary proposition. ATVs are designed to be operated in difficult or extreme conditions and terrain and if used properly, will give the user many years of trouble free operation. The used (or pre-owned) market is often flooded with used ATVs that have been abused or poorly maintained. The challenge is finding a used ATV that has been used responsibly and properly maintained. It may take some time and investigation, but there are many excellent, slightly used, ATVs on the market.

Yamaha ATV 2007 Yamaha Big Bear 400 4x4 IRS Review
Posted by CanadianViking on Saturday, January 13, 2007 (23:21:08) (5583 reads)

ATV@Off-Road.com has posted a review of the redesigned 2007 Yamaha Big Bear 400:

A specially developed ATV has been built by the Yamaha Corporation. The crowd they have targeted is a little dirty....After researching the central and southeastern end of the United States Yamaha has found that a desire to go "Muddin" is what really excites their target audience. The Custom Built Big Bear 400 is engineered to fill that desire....The 2007 Big Bear 400 is not only a solid machine for jobs around the farm but it can also get down into some places that most wouldn't dare to venture...

Yamaha ATV iShock P-51 Review
Posted by CanadianViking on Friday, July 21, 2006 (20:24:09) (940 reads)

ATV@Off-Road.com has posted a review of the iShock P-51 shocks for the Yamaha Rhino:

After almost a year driving on these stock Rhino shocks I have absolutely no doubt of their strengths as well as their limitations. Not many of us out there are fond of a long rough ride, but then again nobody buys an off road vehicle to remain on the smooth and narrow all of the time either. With that said, I’m here to offer a solution; the P51 shock by iShock. The iShock P51 features an “anti-fade” non-reservoir design for easy installation and improved durability...
