Website Announcements Upcoming changes for ATVFRONTIER.com
Posted by Weasel on Sunday, March 01, 2009 (22:54:12) (1229 reads)

Greetings from the ATVFRONTIER staff! We hope the holidays found you well and that you're getting ready for a fantastic summer of riding. Some of you are dreaming of new quads, and some of you have been whittling and welding in your shop on new mods. We too have been busy here at the Frontier; we're cleaning out the garage, sweeping the floor, and changing out the calendars on the wall. With this spring-cleaning, we are proud to announce the new addition of Ben Everitt to the Frontier team.

Ben and I have been working hard on re-evaluating what is and isn't working well here on ATVFRONTIER and planning and designing the ALL NEW ATVFRONTIER home we will be announcing in the upcoming months. Some changes we would like to currently share are that we're adding onto our lineup of vendor forums to formally include RUVs, Argos and Rokons.

These machines are increasing in popularity and we want to be the official home of these great machines. We have several reviews that we will be adding to our collection very soon.

Next we would like to share our completely redesigned ATVFRONTIER trademark. The new logo should be a great indicator of the direction ATVFRONTIER is headed. We want to represent our sport with enthusiasm, safety, and fun in mind. With that said we believe that along with the new logo that "ride." personifies everything ATVFRONTIER is about. We hope you do to!

We will be soon creating our own lineup of apparel that will be available for sale soon with the new logo. So get ready to show off your frontier attitude; now get out there and ride.

Oh, and be on the look out for further announcements of some incredible changes coming to ATVFRONTIER here in the near future.......more to come!

Website Announcements Goodyear announces 'Gatorback' carbon fiber CVT belt
Posted by CanadianViking on Monday, July 09, 2007 (16:13:12) (1008 reads)

Goodyear carbon fiber ATV drive belt available on-line

Goodyear Gatorback Sport is the first Continuously Variable Transmission or CVT belt with carbon fiber reinforcement in its body construction, according to Tom Lee, product manager for the belt line.

“Quad riders need precise, immediate throttle response and off-road durability,” said Lee. “Threadlike strands of carbon fiber that are strong, flexible and weigh much less than steel of similar strength are aligned in the rubber compound to provide added stiffness across the width of the belt.”

He said conventional CVT belt sidewalls can glaze and char from heat buildup when engaged with pulleys under extreme loads. Materials from the top width of the belt then turn down and inward, creating vibrations that can quickly destroy the belt.
