RUV's Yamaha Rhino Front Sport Rack Review
Posted by CanadianViking on Sunday, January 06, 2008 (21:46:37) (946 reads)

We recently posted a review of the Yamaha Rhino Front Sport Rack:

The Yamaha Rhino is an extremely flexible vehicle, capable of handling all manners of tasks. One of the characteristics of side x side utility vehicles is their ability to carry a load. Be it camping and hunting gear or dirt and tools, UTVs are modern day pack horses.

As much as the Rhino can haul, we were looking for a way to increase our carrying capacity. We typically travel with our dogs in the back and they take up most of the rear box, leaving little space for gear.

We added the usual storage items (under seat box, under hood box) but we still needed more space for camping gear, etc. The next logical solution was to add a front rack.

There are a number of front racks on the market for the Rhino. They come in all shapes and sizes. I researched all the models and found that many of them were rather large in size. I wanted to maintain clear visibility (needed in the narrow trails we ride) so I narrowed my search down to the "Front Sport Rack" offered by Yamaha USA.

RUV's Polaris RZR 800 vs. Yamaha Rhino 660
Posted by CanadianViking on Saturday, November 24, 2007 (17:56:14) (1584 reads)

ATVRiderOnline.com has posted a comparision of the RZR 800 vs. Rhino 660:

Clearly, side-by-sides (SxS), utility terrain vehicles (UTVs) or whatever you want to call them are fun. Don't mistake them for a re-hashed version of a Kawasaki Mule-we're talking bigger tires, longer suspension travel, more creature comforts and much more performance than the Mule could ever offer. The side-by-side revolution is here, and it's high time ATV Rider got involved. Yamaha's Rhino 660 is the current king of the hill, but can Polaris' Ranger RZR 800 knock it from the top spot?

RUV's Yamaha Rhino Radiator Guard Review
Posted by CanadianViking on Monday, March 19, 2007 (17:07:25) (1711 reads)

We recently completed a review of a Rhino Radiator Guard:

"As all Rhino owners know, upgrading and accessorizing the Rhino quickly becomes a sweet, but expensive, addiction. One of the first accessories that many Rhino owners add is some form of radiator protection....AllTerrainOnline (ATO) offers a radiator guard that is CNC cut and mounts in front of the radiator using twist-on quick connects. The product is offered in aluminium or black (powder coat) finish and fits all model years of the Rhino 450 and Rhino 660....installation of the guard was simple, strait forward and took less than a minute to complete. I’ve used this product in terrain that varies from mountain trails to water crossings to deep mud holes...I have not experienced any damage to my radiator while the guard has been installed....After a year of service my radiator guard looks and operates like new. The durability of this product has been excellent. I have been very happy with the performance of the Rhino radiator guard and the customer service that I received from AllTerrainOnline."

RUV's Rhino Folding Windshield Review
Posted by CanadianViking on Friday, December 01, 2006 (14:21:59) (1555 reads)

We have posted a review of a folding windshield for the Yamaha Rhino:

The folding half windshield sold through AllTerrainOnline.com is a high quality, easy to install accessory for the Yamaha Rhino...the main trait that we came to appreciate is the flexibility that this product offers. Being able to move the windshield between the ‘up’ and ‘down’ position to suit your riding conditions offers the Rhino driver flexibility that few other products can match...Overall the durability of this product has been excellent...If you are considering adding a windshield to your Rhino I recommend that you have a look at this product.
