Bigger is better right? Well, at least that's what I kept repeating to myself over and over shortly after I received my First Ride orders on Honda's all-new '08 TRX700XX. And with Honda's assertion that their new sport quad features their largest, most powerful four-stroke Single they've ever produced, my concern was certainly warranted. I mean c'mon, does the ATV world really need an almost 700cc sport quad?

Honda Foreman ES w/PS Long Term Review

ATV Illustrated magazine has posted a long term review of the Honda Foreman ES w/PS:

Last fall we were treated to our first ride on the new 2007 Honda FourTrax Foreman with Electric Power Steering (EPS). Our testing consisted of several laps around a mile-long obstacle course at Honda’s ATV training facility in Colton, CA. Honda packed a lot of rugged terrain and hurdles into that short course, and editors from all the top North American ATV publications were blown away by how well the concept of power steering on an ATV worked, especially on an ATV that none of us thought needed help in the steering department to begin with. The difference in handling was amazing!

We couldn’t wait to get this newfangled technology out in the real world, though, to see how it would handle natural-terrain trails or how the steering would react to a heavy load on the racks. We also wanted to look past the EPS system to evaluate the rest of the Foreman’s performance characteristics, such as power and suspension action. It wasn’t long before a delivery driver was knocking at our door with our new Honda Foreman 4x4 ES with EPS test unit, fresh from the factory. Let the evaluation begin!

Honda Announces for 2008 New TRX 700XX Sport Quad

In case you didn't know, the Honda Rincon has always been more than just a made-for-work ATV. In fact, the 2003 Honda Rincon finished 1st and 3rd at the 2002 Baja 1000 event when it was first introduced. Honda has always been a firm believer that bigger doesn’t necessarily mean better. It is because of this conservative approach to engineering that we were hesitant about how noticeable the changes and improvements on the 2006 Honda TRX680 Rincon would be.
