So much the same here in SW AB and SE BC (the Y2Y thing). We really need to start a Blue Ribbon Coalition of our own in Canada. Monthly newsletters to members AND decision makers!

Here the groups are Canadian Parks & Wilderness, and always a regional eco-group such as Alberta Wilderness Association, or East Kootenay Enviro Society. "Local" groups get $300k+ per yr in funding from US donor orgs like Wilburforce.
