Dang!, the Rubicon dipstick is HARD to read when checking the warm temp oil levels! Does anyone know of an aftermarket stick that offers better visibility or does anyone have idaes how to improve on the factory version?

I'm going to try placing the stick against a piece of tissue paper when checking it and looking quick before absorbancy carries oil further than actual level on stick. I'll report back.

I painted my rancher dipstick with white nail polish to make it easier to read.

I've been thinking of this. Have you had any problem with the nailpolish flaking off and circulating through the oil supply? How long have you used this idea? I tried wiping the dipstick against my finger but fat fingers don't give a very good indication.

I have used the nail polish method on 2 quads and a scooter over the last 10 years. Never had a flaking problem. I use the polish instead of paint only because it has a small brush, dries fast and my wife has plenty. I wouldn't hesitate to use paint as well.
