Hows it goin everyone, I have an o7 can am outlander. The stock warn winch under load was causing my bike to shut down, and saying Battery Low. I got a new battery and its doing the same thing, I got rid of the stock warn and bought a new 2500Rt and its still doing the same thing. Anyone know what the prob could be ??

It is an normal problem when winch for a long time or under heavy load, try reving your engine a little more when winch to keep your battery voltage higher

Get a better battery too. Do a search, the stock battery is very 'tiny' that comes stock on these very expensive machines.

With a little work you can put a Gold Wing Battery in the battery box I have had one in my outty for the last two years.

DEKA makes a great AGM battery that does not lose charge when the machine is sitting and can pull a heavy load for an enormous amount of time. ETX20L is the direct replacement model you want. You can get them from the manufacturer direct. That is where I purchased mine:

Ok changed the contactor, all is good now. I have another problum though, when I put the winch in freewheel it is very hard to pull out, I tried letting out the cable and putting it back in, with hopes of looseing it up. and its still really hard to pull out the cable.....

That is usually caused by one of two things. 1. Dirty winch, 2. Too much grease.
