So I noticed I have a nicely bent tie rod. Question is, should I just try and bend it back or should I break down and just replace it? Let me know your thoughts, thanks.

Apply mild heat and bend back. Expect it to bend again. If no heat is used it may bend back but my eaperience is that it breaks.

I would change the tie rod.
If you straighten them they just seem to bend again.

If you have access to heat you might have access to a welder. Straighten it then run a few beads on the inside of the bend. After your done with the welder throw it in a pail of oil. Then go to the yammy dealer and buy a new tie rod.Install that one and keep the old one for a spare, beats the heck out of baling wire to get home.

What did you do to bend it the first time?

Why replace it with another Yamaha tie rod?
Check out Ebay for a aftermarket tie-rod kit, American Star is one, I have used this brand before, they are super strong. Another great one is made by DiamondG, I have used DiamondG's too, can't go wrong with either brand.

Thanks for the input guys!
I think that this happened awhile back actually. I haven't rode it much lately but I was getting ready for a ride on Saturday and finally noticed this. I think that it happend while I was riding in deep ruts, I hit a log on the right side and nearly broke my wrist at the time. I also damaged my rim but did not demolish it.
I will replace it and will try to straighten the old one and keep it as a spare.
