So since this is going to be my wifes first solo ride she is worried about keeping up, trail conditions and the difficulty of the ride. I was wondering what group is doing what trail. I have rode the falls trail, margret lake and cabin creek. I think from my experience the falls trail is the easyest trail to ride. Margret lake and cabin creek have some pretty harry hills (the way we went anyways). So im just wondering what trail the novice and family riders are going to ride. And i know the pace wont be any faster than the slowest person but im more worried about her riding out of her comfort zone.

Scott

P.S. I dont think were going to stay for dinner but if we do we will definatly bring something what i dont know but we will be sure to bring something.

Hey Scott,

I will be taking the family group and we have a few riders joining in that have only ridden a few times. We will most likely be heading to Cow Lake which is on the East side of the Airstrip.

Hope you both can join us for the ride and dinner.

Christine

Good Day Folks,

Are you camping at the Airstrip or did you just rent for the day?

Cheers,

Russell

Hello Russell,

Welcome to the Frontier!
We will not be camping at the airstrip during this event, but there is random camping in the area as you are probably aware.

Come on out and enjoy the ride with the club, if you would like to stay for dinner just bring a dish to contribute to the potluck. We always looking forward to meeting new people.

Check out our new webiste for more information about our year ride and camping schedule; www.calgaryatvriders.com

Cheers,
Christine

Thanks Christine,

I will be camping somewhere, going to head out the Friday afternoon, not sure where. So you just have the Airstrip rented for the day? My friend Jan will be coming as well - I think you have met her before, Crash Wink?.

Will let you know more details as we get closer.

Thanks again,

Russell

FYI, we MAY not have Transport Canada authorization to legally cross the gravel pit to access the trail system west of Hwy 40/940/FTR, so club rides may have to explore the trail systems to the east of the Hwy, which "for the most part" is less agressive type of trails.

Russell, Yes the Airstrip is effectively rented for just the day. Sorry, but overnight stays in the airstrip will not be available.
