Just wondering if i put a deep cycle marine battery on my atv instead of the standerd battery if it would hurt anything. Ihave 3 sitting from my boat and my atv battery is bad. I have a box in the back that would hold it perfectly and all i would have to do is extend the power and ground leads for it.

DC battery is not designed for atv needs, you need a proper replacement

Personally, I don't think it would hurt a thing. And if it did, it would be the battery itself.

The big thing in 4X4's (Trucks & Jeeps) now is to install deep cycle or marine batteries instead of regular starting batteries. Part of the reason is, they can be drawn farther & still work.

I personally have had a Odyssey deep cycle battery in my truck for over 5 yrs with no issues. I also installed an Odyssey battery in my Grizz and my Jeep. Great batteries.

But, that's JMHO Yellow-biggrin
