Gee ... I'm touched .... OK, OK ... in the head maybe .... but I'm touched by all the luv .... just stand over there & I'll feel a whole lot better however .... Yellow-biggrin

Like Mongrol wrote, I've been putt'in a big bore kit in my Grizz along with a Raptor cam & I did the header wrap thing. Ran into a few issues because I exceeded some torque limits & busted out the side of the head cover ... which then I had to have welded .... which turned into a fiasco ... and then after that I still had some "Seepage" .... let me rephrase that ... my BIKE still had some seepage, so I had to trace that down & deal with it.

At this same time I was in the process of buy'in the wife a new car, sell'in my 74 Ford flatbed truck & buy'in me a newer truck .... the last 60 days have been anything but boring. Eusa Boohoo

Trapperdirk ... haven't taken any video's lately ... maybe I should have while do'in the work on the motor ... that would've been different. I guess I better see if I still know how to take a video .... Ummm .... icon_confused2

My son had a cracked exhaust manifold on his old chevy , used JB Weld on it, lasted until after he sold the truck several years later. If your havin trouble that might be a cheap fix, for ya.......Bob

Thanks for the idea Stapletn ... and I did try JB weld, but this was where the upper oil line goes on the 660 Grizzly & the Banjo oil bolt goes into the head cover. It's a poor design to me ... but I guess if you stay within the specified torque limits, it's not an issue. And only about 4 or 5 threads of the bolt go down into this location, which doesn't help either.

So, I over torqued the bolt ... you know, you're tightening a bolt, feel like ya have it right where it needs to be ... but get a feel'in just a little more would be better .... "crack" ... busted the side of the threaded area right out. So off to the welder. All is good now however .... and I'm lov'in the 686 with the Raptor cam ... a LOT !!!! Yellow-biggrin

And that torque wrench I have sure looks nice lay'in in the tool chest ... yes it does !!! Puppy Dog Eyes

A question for you Gunny, did you buy the torque wrench after you overt(tightened)orqued that banjo bolt? Actually I didn't miss you so much as I missed teasing you. That extra power will come in handy turning them tracks in the snow. What did you buy for a truck?

Well ... ya have me on this one Wycked Puppy Dog Eyes .... Mongrol ... you been read'in my mind or what ?? .... A little is just not enough I tell ya !!!! Yellow-biggrin

About the torque wrench, My Fine Concered Friend (that would be you Wycked, ya bast%$# !) .... I already had the torque wrench ... actaully, I have TWO ..... but they look so pretty in the tool chest, I hated distrubing the dust they had collected Sad

I bought a 2001 F-250, V10, 4-door long bed. Man it's a nice truck. Took me a while to figure out how to start it however ... did you know they don't put a choke on the newer trucks ?? .... and I had it for a week before I figured out the cold air blow'in up my shorts could be turned off ... I thought there was a hole in the fire wall .... and then the widows .... I had to ask my 7 yr old granddaughter how to open & close the windows ... cause there isn't any cranks to roll them down or up with !!! .... I tell ya .... these new trucks are difficult to get to know how to operate icon_confused2
