Oh Oh!! I found a tear in my cv boot today when I was loading up . Anybody know what the cost of these boots are ? Is it best to replace just the one that is torn or both on that side? What is the cost of these boots and do they come in sets and do they have the clamps included? Any secrets to replacing these ? as I will probably do the job. myself. Any info is appreciated. Thanks Bob

Bob,

This site may give you an idea of costs:

Rocky Mtn. ATV

I think I would just replace the bad one.
But then again, while your there you might want to do both sides.
Talk to you Sat. and take a look.

Well I decided to take the ride, sprayed some brake clnr. on a rag and wiped the boot down good , then wrapped the boot with good ol' duct tape, didn't tape to the axels ,just on the boot. Everything looks to have held up quite well, tape was still good and tight on the boot, and there was still grease in the boot rode about 35 miles on rocky dusty roads tried to stay out of any water . It was a good emergency fix!!

Well ordered the boot replacement today $19.95+ shipping should be here before the weekend. Got it from Up North Sports in Bemidji, Minn. they said it was an upgrade of the orginial, hope so. Will try to post some pics of the process. I found a good step by step guide on line. A friend said he would give me a hand, he's much more knowlegeable then me and his help and guideance will be appreciated for sure.

The local stealer would have been close to $160.00 to do this job.
