While up in Colorado for a long weekend atv ride 3 weeks ago, I came upon a New 07 800 Outlander (non-xt) with 2 miles on it at a Can-am Dealer.
I pick it up for $6800(OTD) including the High altitude clutch kit and the 3.5 yr extended warranty. Not too hip on the Badland Radials, I switch my 26" terra crosses over from the Brute to the Outander but then I noticed the 9" wide frt Terra cross tire wasn't going to work with the stock Outlander wheels, so I upgraded to the ITP SS312 wheels.
Ricochets skids are next, I found them at $322 delivered and I am still looking for the Overfenders I had on my Brute.
If the reporting is correct on the weak stock shocks, I'll be getting another set of the WORKS on the Outlander as well but that won't be till next yr, along with a Precision Steering Stabilizer.
Been riding Kawasaki VTwins for the last 7 yrs, No Problems with any of them. It will be fun comparing my Reliable Kawie VTwins to this Can-am Vtwin.

nice to see someone get a good deal.

i think you'll love your new outy.

might be good to do a thorough read in this forum for upgrades and cheap solutions. this site saved me a lot of potential hastle with my outy...

Update,
Kick up the frt shocks to #5 setting, rears up to #3, both were set at #2 on 1st ride.
Drop air pressure down to 5psi, was at 6psi before.
Installed CR-High Bend Pro-taper Fat Handlebars with Rox 2" Riser's.
Results,
Steering handling response much improvement. Still noticing some wandering on the front in faster riding, more so in corners.
Handlebar Upgrade was really a great improvement, wrist/arms/shoulders are more relax now. Steering Bump wasn't a big deal either but I think that was because of less tire pressure and bumping up the shock setting.
Ricochet skid plates were during there job too.
Next Item,
After looking more closely to the frt frame section, I believe it is possible to make a Gibson Style Steering Stabilizer work, all is needed is to Fad a bracket, this will be my Winter project.

Do the frame mod. You can have the steel cut and welded for about $35.00.Many people on this site and others wish they had installed it on their first frame.

What type of frame mod is that, and where could I find some info and pics on this?
Thanks
