I'm just wondering.

Would the bar end hooks Polaris uses on the Assault 800 snowmobile work on the handlebars of a Touring?

Part nr 1823339-070 Polaris

Provided the end of the bar was the same size as a sled yes they would work. They slip into the end of the pipe and when the bolt is tightened it expands for a tight fit that holds them in place. I have them on my snowmobile as they are great for carving or side hilling but I don't drive the Touring aggressive enough to have them on it.....

The problem isn't my aggressive driving style Yellow-redface

Since I installed those Pure Polaris grip heaters when they heat up the rubber grip becomes soft and starts sliding.

Rather then glue everything up I'd like some bar ends to hold everything in place. I saw the ones on the RMK Assault and thought they could do the trick.

The bore on the Touring handlebars is 16,7 mm so if someone could be bothered to measure their popo snowmobile I'd be gratefull.
Otherwise I'll just order them in on a whimsy Yellow-biggrin

Being you have to cut the end out of the grip to get the "J" hook in the end of the handle bar I think the grips will still slide. The after market hooks are the same size for all sleds so I assume the bars are all the same. My hooks are BRP because I run a Bombardier sled.....

Well Chris while out in the shed tonight I thought I would pull the cover off the sled and measure the handle bar tube for you. They are , like you said close to 17mm so yes the snowmobile "J" hooks will fit....

Thanks nbsportsman;
It would be goofy to have different size handlebars on ATV's and snowmobiles. But you never know Blue-confused

I've ordered them in so I'll probably get them within 3 weeks or something.

thx again.
