should the word diff lock mean what it says? is it suppose to be a true lock up or should I take it back to pro am for more warrenty work. yesterday i was out and got high centered and only 3 wheels spun with the diff lock engaged.Doesn't seem right to me.

The diff lock only locks the front diff rear is still open diff. If both fronts spin and one rear it is normal.

If you had the lever pushed over and the other button pushed then yes the front should be locked and both should spin. As for the rear it is always locked they are not an open diff on the rear.
Your problem could be as simple as needing some dielectric grease on some of the wire connections though.

Yes , i agree with DQ, make sure the Diff lock button is depressed and the and the cover or gate is swung back over it , to hold it down. Then all 4 wheels are locked up . Works that way on my 07 450 Grizz.

So push down the 4wd button then the Diff lock button then swing the cover over it . Then you should be able to climb walls.

Hey Steve, is that why we blew by you on the Ghost trails Sunday?
Yes all four tires should spin when the diff lock is engaged. Mine was working intermittently for a while, then stopped working all together after our snow run in the Porkies. Got a few other electrical/mechanical gremlins to work out too.

Interesting thread here. I have a 2008 450 Grizz, and I have had great success with the diff lock until this weekend I was pulling a very heavy trailer of firewood up a little incline, and in diff lock, only three wheels were spinning - the two rear and only one front.
So I called my local shop, and they said that chances are the wheel that wasn't spinning, didn't have any traction - which I think was right - but still, I thought diff "LOCK" meant that they were locked.
