I would say yes it should back shift quicker while under a load. I did take out 2 weights on an uxv the machine had full windshield and roof and also had 26" tires with 14" rim setup it helped down low but lost in the mid range and top end we had a chance to race another uxv with the same set up but with all the weights in the clutch and the one with all the weights beat it hands down.
So i'am going to put the 2 weights back in but shave some grams off them first just a little to start then go from there.

EPI now has a clutch kit for the UXV. I just installed one on a customers unit yesterday. I havn't had a chance to test it out yet. Waiting on a couple of other things for him. We're going to try it, and then add the MXU 500 CDI. I want to see if that makes enough differance to warrant the cost of the CDI. I will pass along some results as I find them.
Oh yes, the machine has a full windshield, soft cab, 3000lb. warn winch, heated seat pads, electric cab heater and 26" Maxxis Zilla tires on stock rims. Stock it would still pull 43mph on the speedo.

hi guys, well i fitted the white epi spring to my uxv , what a difference to bottom end midrange ,
bike runs more in high torque revs,
before fitment i did 30-34 kn/h in thick sand with 4x4 on, saterday it ran 40- 45 km/h in the same sand , the top end power did not change much , thick the motor needs to be upped a bit ,
will be doing cam degree in 2 weeks , very happy so far , clutch now great,
regards
