I am buying a bike. Looking for leads on some good used ones. Advice is welcome, too.

Cruiser, NO sport bike/crotch rockets

Acceptable brands (only!!):

Harley
Honda
Yamaha
Suzuki
Kawi

Min 850 ccs - 1100+ would be best

Good condition, low kms, well maintained, late model (late 90s at the very oldest, would prefer 2003+). 2-up would be best (not that I plan to haul anyone around, I want more room for me). Saddlebags a plus. Have a weakness for black and chrome.

At the bike show a few months ago, Walt Healy had two new cruisers which were a couple of years old. They were put in the back and forgotten about. Don't know if they still have them and don't remember what they were exactly, but they were a good price. Call Sheldon at Walt Healy.

You may want to talk to Brit. He was talking about selling his bike - a 750 Shadow (?), I think.

Just a bit small. I don't want to make the same mistake I have with quads...buying one too small and regretting it and having to buy a bigger one shortly thereafter.

Thanks for the head's up though!!
