Well

The stock carlisles have nearly had it.
I've been running too much pavement and the compound seems really soft, nice smooth ride though.

I've got GDYR MT/R's on the 4x4 and really like them.
Allthough with the slightly harder compound they ride harder, but last longer than other brands.

Stock sizes are 25-8-12 front and 25-11-12 for the Touring.
I'd expect 26-8-12 and 26-11-12 shouldn't be a problem.

Anybody out there running this set-up for trail use on the touring or X2??

I'm not looking for a mud eater, just something that'll give me sure-footed traction when weaving through the tractor-tracks and be a little more puncture resistant than the carlisles.
We've got lots of thorn bushes and sharp shingles around here.

26" will be no problem s long as you dont go wider than 8" on the front.

and a 6 ply rated tire is the ticket for alot less punctures.

I'm running 27-8-12 and 27-11-12 MudBugs on an 800 Touring with no problems so you should be good.....

It's nice to hear Polaris has designed some room for improvement into the Touring Yellow-biggrin

Allthough I like the original Carlisles comfy ride the added puncture resistance of the MTRs would be great.

Just out of curiosity what do they actually mount on those military ATV's ??
They specify run-flat but not the brand and type.
