What do you all think of the tax day Tea Parties being planned across the country.? Will the politicians listen ? and what should happen if they don't ? What are your suggestions?Do you plan on attending a party?.....Bob

The Tea Parties are all about protesting the way Obama is spending money bailing out all these companys and then breaking promises about not raising taxes. His attacks on our Constitution and our legal system etc. etc. Kinda like a modern day Boston Tea Party. There are Tea Partys planned all across the United States, and in every one of them. There are 5 or 6 planned in NM alone. I think we've been duped by O and his cronies. Its time to stand up and voice our concerns.... Bob

Is there a link to these tea parties? I may have to attend one.

And to answer MeYammy's question: Hopefully they will be doing some tar & feathering to some of these crooked politicians.

I truly believe that the gov't should have let all of these banks, auto manufacturers and anybody else who received bailout money FAIL or go bankrupt, then the gov't should have given all of this bailout money to people who worked and paid taxes. That would most certainly stimulate the economy. But our idiot president seems to think it's better to give our money to failing criminal companies and companies that try to make a better product at the last minute when it's too late all the while living high on the hog, while the little guys (us the taxpayers) continue to struggle to survive and people continue to lose jobs. If the money was given to the people you can pretty much guarantee that they would be out spending it on cars, appliances and many other items that in turn would re-establish our workforce, economy and put the recent unemployed back to work for their employers. In the meantime the banks, auto manufacturers and others would be getting their money by us spending it on their products. I can't believe that our so called gov't can't figure this out and if they have thought of this, then they truly don't care about the people of this country and only care about corporate America. Pretty disgusting.

www.foxnews.com/politi...to-scream/

Okay, I get it. But, that won't do much. Businesses and self employed people in particular have to withhold taxes from the government. Send your tax return in with no check, just a note that says "taxes withheld until the government reigns in and reverses the trend of rampant and unprecedented wreckless spending of my tax dollars bailing out failed and corrupt industries and commercial enterprises"

At least you'd get there attention if it was on a large enough scale. Tea Parties are going to fill airtime and web space at media outlets, and that's about it.

I think these Tea Parties should be geared towards our Federal, State and Local Representatives. Especially here in NM where 4 of our 5 national representatives are 1st term Reps. If they want to go back to Washington they best pay attention, to what's being said and how their constituents feel, about the out of control spending, the support given to CEO's that have failed in the performance of their duties. The heavy handiness of the Justice and Treasury Depts..............Bob

I personally am looking for groups that will follow up and keep close watch on these elected officals. Documentation is where we need to focus our efforts after these parties are over , then use these when election time rolls around. Bob
