Finally time to replace the original in my 02 700 , any advice where to find an aftermarket match, Gel pack perhaps? , or should I just go to Mr. POPO?

Most folks seem to recommend the AGM Technology. Yuasa and Odyssey are two of the favorites.

The trick seems to be to do the prep yourself. Don't let a dealer fill & charge the battery. Get it dry... fill it yourself with the acid packs... let it sit for a few hours... and then put it on a slow charge.

Thanks Jimmy appreciate the info!
The first link to your post is NG.
Looks like the Deka site isn't stocking the 30 amp any more.
Mr. POPO wants 120 + tax here, surprising, I thought it would be closer to 2.
Gonna shop around a bit more though. Yellow-biggrin

Just wanted to update, I contacted Deka directly, they sent an AGM to a local Deka dealer for me. 100$ icon_pelvic_thrust2
I still can't believe the original lasted almost 7 yrs. , I guess battery tenders make a big difference in the life of a battery.
