Two days ago, on Sunday, at 1:23PM our new grandaughter made her appearance into this world. All 8 lbs 6 ozs, and 19 inches of Ms. Zada Marie immediately started hollaring and I knew right then that she took after the other females in this family!

I haven't got to actually see or hold her yet because I've got a great case of he crud right now, but the instance she was born, my wife called me from the birthing room on her cell phone and let me hear her first sounds. I told the wife, "Darn, you sure can tell sheis related to you and her mother!". Didn't get another call from the hospital for hours!! Yellow-biggrin

Anyhow, they're bringing her home today from the hospital in a special little outfit her daddy got for her at Cabella's, months ago. Camo with white lace! Her daddy is definitely a cowboy and as I've said before, a big time hunter! I believe this little one will grow up riding horses and hunting with her daddy and Grandpop, with no further discussion needed on those subjects. Yellow-biggrin Yellow-biggrin

Congrats!!!
Just think, for 2-3 years you get to change her diapers, and then after a while, she'll get to change yours for a while LOL!!

Seriously though, my dad told me MANY times he should have had the grandkids first, as they are more fun than we were.

Grandkids are what keeps grandparents young. I've got 6 natural and a tadpole due Aug this year, and 4 un-natural ones(byway of blended families). It gets busy when they all show up.Congrats Buck.

THANK YOU ALL, VERY MUCH, for the congrads!! I still have the crud, so I still haven't seen or held this little one personally. Don't want to go around her until I'm completely over this stuff. I'll tell her when she gets older that I saved the best grandparent for last!! Yellow-biggrin

My wife and I have really been blessed in that, in addition to the one biological child we each had, we kind of adopted, and they have adopted us, four young men and their families, whose parents aren't in the picture. 2 are Texas State Troopers , one is a probation officer and one is a Texas Ranger. Their children consider us their real grandparents and my biological son has a 7 year old son too. This newest little girl was our daughter's first child.

Life is GOOD!!! Yellow-biggrin Yellow-biggrin

Big congrats UB. When you buying the new shotgun?

I'll agree, grandpa is the best. You get to spoil them til they smell rotten, then send them home to get changed.
