Burnt Timber was awesome and the snow was great, we could go almost anywhere we wanted. I would be interested in going again.

Hey Todd,
Hopefully you can get your machine up and going,
Sunday a lot of people are heading up to Caroline Snowmobile ATV Poker Rally.

I guess we'll just play it by ear until later in the week. Weather is supposed to be good for the weekend but they're saying snow for Friday, these forcasts are just guesses anyway, we'll have to wait and see I suppose.
I'd like to ride burnt timber on saturday though. Who's planning on going to Caroline sunday? I didn't know about that one..

The Caroline Poker Rally on Sunday, from Caroline go west on Hwy #22 then continue west on Sec # 591 (after Hwy #22 turns north) to the Phyliss Lake Rec area, they have signs posted. Turn north a couple of km then turn left into unloading area ** note when you turn left there is a small hill that gets very icy, be in 4 x 4 especially if pulling trailer.

The first unit out is at 10:00am, try to be a little early to register and get your poker hands, cost $ 5.00 per hand. It is best to be in the first 50 or so atv's out on the course, in the past the 75km route tends to get really icy and very interesting later in the afternoon. There are check points set up with fire pits also an optional short cut back to the starting point if you chose.

So far we have four units going, see you there.

Is there anyone interested in going to Burnt timber or any other location on Saturday? If so what time and where would you want to meet or stage?

For Burnt timber I think the Airdrie co-op is a great staging area if anyone else has anything in mind please post!

Cheers

This map will get you in the general area of Phyllis Lake PRA in about 2hrs.

After completing my repairs, I'm thinkin about going on Sunday a little closer to home with Ronin if the weather co-operates. Maybe just McLean or somewhere further south with some new snow.
