Uncrated some 09s today and this is what I have noticed so far -

NEW FUEL PUMP on the 800s - the pump is at the top of the tank and looks to be easy access.

NEW FRONT BUMPER ENDS on the 800 - they are solid and really could not make out if they were aluminum or plastic.

New Winches on both 400 and 800

Looks as though the rear differential is cast from a different metal this year

On the 800 it looks as if BRP may have a set of light to go under the headlights as the valance has blanks that may take a set of projectors

The new red Renegade is the nicest red I have seen on an ATV in a long time.

The Renegade has a cover over the brake master cylinder I believe is new.

Rear Bumper on 800 has changed as well it compliments the front bumper

DESS on the 400 this year

Ok for power - ok we are servicing the batteries and will have to update you on this.

I uncrated three Renegades today and everyone of them sold in less than 30 minutes of being uncrated - they are just awaiting for us to finish the PDI and off they went. I also uncrated two black outlanders a 400 and 800 and the 800 is going in the morning as well. Seems everyone is wanting to put the new 800R to the test. I can tell you the black is awesome and the new graphics scheme is very nice.

I am so confused. So you are a dealer and you just uncrated a few. Can Am claims they would not be out until November. DOnt get me wrong I want one and NOW.

How many 800R X models did you get?

2 Renegade X models - we got nine all together but the majority are Outlanders and one 500 Renegade and a Red Renegade 800

Thanks for the interesting update I just got called yesterday and was told my outlander was still 3 weeks away. It would be great if you could add any new observations you see. A couple of things I was wondering about for the 800 outlander was if there was any updating of the front springs and if there was changes to the cvt to make it more water tight or do I need to snorkel it as my first mod.

Thanks Caz

My dealer has a whole load in. Told me today the 800r Black XT would be 10k......I am outta state so thats done out the door. I haven't decided on this or the 850 Sportsman yet. Both would be the same price range of around 10k...

Both look good. Same price.......Don't know....Sportsman has more features but doesn't have the winch, hand guards, bumpers of the XT package but does have the power steering the Outlander doesn't. I am also reading about faulty fuel seals from the factory already on the new 09s????

I cannot tell if the springs are heavier but I can tell you that you can tell the difference in the motor in mid range acceleration - All I can say is Thundercat we already had your lightning - now we have your ground rod.

So you are hearing of faulty fuel seals on what '09's? Sportsman or Renegade?

I inquired about the fuel seals to tech today and they have not heard of it as of yet if there has been. They stated if there was such an issue being of a fuel leakage nature they would recall the bikes immediatley.
