My brother in law harvested this nice Bull Elk Sunday morning. It's not a monster but it will work. Our rifle season opens in the same area Friday after Thanksgiving.

My son, father and I started our hunt Friday morning. Didn't see much at all. A few cows here and there. Saturday afternoon my son spooked out a 4x4 but couldn't get a shot. Sunday we hunted for a few hours until the weather got crappy. After watching some football, my son and I decided to head out that afternoon. At 330pm, I was walking some Elk trails when I saw this one walking thru the trees. When he came into a clearing I took my shot. It was about 75yrds. The 7mm mag did a great job. He fell about 25yrds away. I did not notice his broken horns until I walked up on him. He must have been a big one at one time. His base is really thick.
