This is for the (i) models - All years of the BF750, through 2010.

On a Scale of 1 to 5 and 1 being the easiest, this is a "ONE".

Bushing Part:
Prothane line # 19-1156

Available on-line at : Jeg's.
Jeg's part # 311-19-1156 (RED color)
Cost $15.50

Since I did this Mod using the Energy Suspension Bushings part # 9.515R, many others have had problems with alignment of the Energy brackets. After more research I have found that the Prothane line # 19-1156 is your best option on upgrading the Sway-Bar Bushing's.

Time to Install: less than 1 hour.

Remove rear wheels, support the BF with jacks.
Remove the 4, 12mm bolts (2 on each side) that hold the stock bushing mount's to the Frame.
Pull down on the sway bar & remove the stock bushing bracket & the sway-bar bushing, they have a clear cut thru them to remove.

Install new brackets and Bushings, bolt everything up and tighten.

Reinstall rear Wheels.

Finished.

Benifits:
Stock Bushings are very poorly made & are cheap & wear out quickly.
The aftermarket Bushings have grease zerks & will last a very long time, your handling will stay tight on the rear too.

I also have had my bushing on for quite awhile now and really like the way they work. Definitely a different rear end feel. This is definitely a good mod.

How many miles on the stock ones before they started to fail?

The Stock bushings are cheap. Best to replace them even on a Brand New BF. Smilie Colors1

Does this mod make the ride even firmer? I find that my BF rides like a tank compared to a few other quads I have taken for a ride....My thinking is that this mod will make the side to side body roll much less ie stiffen up the ride.

Less Bodyroll is what you gain, which results in improved handling.
Your Firm ride is b/c of the Stock Shocks and the only way to fix that is to go aftermarket Shocks.

By removing the sway bar completely invites trouble for fast trail riding, OK for Mud riding but we who ride trails are best to keep the sway bar on.

OK I have tried to do this mod but it is causing me some issues. I got Energy part # 9.5158G.

I was told the only difference between the G&R is the color of the bushings, but now I am not sure. The brackets do not want to line up at all - The holes dont line up and they seem so far in that the bolts will hit the side of the bracket putting them in.

Also the fittings on the factory sway bar that limit it from sliding in the bushings need to be pushed out - since these bushings are much wider.

Anyone else have these problems? or were yours just bolt on?

Thanks

I have installed this Energy Bushing kit so far on 3 BF750's and one BF650i and all four went on as the above instructions last year.
Maybe Energy Suspension has change this kit a bit, that would explain your install problems but-this kit will still work for you, you will need to mod the new bushing brackets to make it fit. The stock stop fittings can be adjusted on the sway bar to allow the wider Energy bushing brackets to bolt up.

Did you ever get your rear bushings on? If so what did you do to make it work? I'm having the same issues as you are.

What is needed to move these stock stop fittings? Is it just as simple as pushing them over or tapping them over? Thanks

I got mine on last night, I needed to remove the sway bar and tap the stock bushing stoppers out a bit inorder to line up the bushing brackets. Everything lined up and bolted in.

Took the bike for a short spin and I could feel the difference right away. Nice mod for the $24.00 Canadian I payed for it!

Thumbs Up
