Red and Midge are planning on camping in the Ghost area. I am posting this on their behalf.
I am not sure if the Temp Ghost trail closures have been lifted yet. Might want to check the SRD site for any updates.

Hi Everyone. Hope some of you may be able to join us. We are planning to leave tomorrow June 15th around 4:30 from Brentwood NW.
Our phone number is 289=5876.

Here are the directions:
Forestry Trunk Road to Waiporus Valley Rd.
Left at the Y toward Camp Howard.
Over the new Bridge.
We will camp close to and on the north bank of Waiparous Creek.
West of Camp Chamisall construction.
East of the cutline that runs south of 4 corners to Johnson's Bog.

Hope to see you.
Red Midge Roxy Dale

I already emailed Red also warning him closures may still be in effect.

The gov`t flow rates for the Waip. indicate a distinct drop over the last few days. But yesterday, it still touched on 11 m3/s during the rain we got which is still high for that creek at certain crossings. (We`ve canoed it at 7 and it was a banshee kind of ride in some sections lower down.) The weekend forecast is for more rain so I`m guessing they might not pull the closure until things dry up a bit. It`s running at about 7-8 right now which is a far cry from the level it was last week when they initiated the closure.
