As defined on the back of the Dec 2008 CQS newsletter

2009 CQS Ride Schedule:
Feb 14th- Family Day ride and Pot luck lunch Ghost Airstrip
March 14th- Day ride and cook out McLean Creek
April 25th- Poker Rally and Geocache event at McLean Creek
May 15th- 18th- May Long weekend Camping and riding Ghost Airstrip
June 20th- Burnt timber first bridge west of Cremona
July 17th- 19th CNP Thunder in the Valley. We will be camping in the McGillvery area
July 31st- Aug 3rd- Camp and Ride in the Caroline area Site to be determined.
Sept 4th- Sept 8th- Camp, ride and Pig Roast at Ghost Airstrip.
Sept 27th- Family ride Day ride from South Ghost
Nov 7th- Rebels Fall Ride.. This will be the 6th annual ride.

I just updated the Quad Squad's offical EVENTS page with similar information with links to trailmaps and Google driving directions.
If you see errors or have additional information to add, let me know.
I assume this will be a kind of living document that will change as the information is updated.

Dragonlady, welcome to the Frontier! You may also find individual non-club related rides in the Calgary and area specific REBELS forum. Saturday there is an Indian Graves ride. There is also lots of good information on our official website, www.quadsquad.ca

JUNE 20th ride LOCATION
The June 20th ride with be in the Burnt Timber area West of the Cremona Gas Plant at the bridge after the Line Heater shack (WP#295). It is approximately at WP# 323 on the Ghost map or N51 34.444 W114 59.253.
We will ride the Husky Trail (WP#s 321-285) towards Hunter Valley Road on the updated map.

September 19th ride date CHANGED
The September 19th ride will be changed to SUNDAY September 27 in order to allow some First Aid Training to happen. Same location, typical 10 am ride start target.

Is anyone from okotoks or calgary going on the june 20th ride?

I am from Okotoks, was woundering what is the best way to get to the meeting area from okotoks?
I don't think that i have been there before.

It is nearly a 3hr drive from Okotoks:
Here is one option using Hwy 2>Hwy 2A>Hwy 580:

Here is another going thru Bragg Creek/Cochrane and up Hwy 22:

NOTE that 6km North of Cremona the actual road goes straight west, but is not correct on the map.
One option would be to meet some of the group at the Cremona Petro Can gas station about 9:15.

once the shoulder is all healed from surgery i would like to get out with you guys one day; wont be till next year but I'll keep an eye on the sites for the schedule for 2010

Welcome to the Frontier ND4spd. Glad to see that you are checking out the local Calgary ATV club. The Rebels forum is also local to the Calgary and area riders.

Many of our club rides and events are now on an annual basis. I imaging that sometime after the Rebels ride we will work out the 2010 ride schedule. Keep tuned!
