Anyone else seen the new Renegade commercial where people state they see something in the woods and can only get a glimpse and cannot even get pictures of the thing?

Looks like the advertising guys finally are going to have some fun with this model

Hi DustinMinnesota,

Yes I saw that last night.
Had to laugh as it now makes my machine look slow.

I am drooling but no I won't be buying one.

I am really excited about the new Renegade and in fact, I was ready to get one in November when they were released. The opportunity to do the 'Project Grizzly' came up so that will probably delay the Renegade until spring 2007.

Hello everyone I am new to this site and I am glad to see threr are many of you excited about the Renegade. I talked to my dealer today and he told me $100 and he would hold his first machine for me. I ride a KFX700 right now and love it with one exception, the lack of protection from the mud, snow, and anything else the tires seem to throw my way. Have any of you seen the Renegade in person and know if it will provide better protection? I like getting muddy and wet most of the time but once in awhile it is nice to stay dry and clean. This machine would be perfect for riding the Black Hills here in S.D. not that my current one isnt, but I would like a little more protection. Any help you guys could give me would be great.

as for protection from the elements it seems to offer a little more than the kfx that you ride but does not offer the enclosed floorboard system you would expect on a utility. I have seen one in person and hopefully I will be riding one soon so I can give you an honest to goodness report on the bike.

Sorry to upset all the excitement and hype about this new Renegade....but I'll guarantee after the release of these over powered under built machines...they will break and so will many riders also...lol.
Machines like this should be confined to a track...not out in the general public where every idiot and his pals can go mental up and down the trails. I've driven the polaris Scrambler many times...awesome bike when it's working....they get ridden like they were advertised and they fall apart.
Next year someone else is gonna have a 1000cc bike, utility and sport then so on and so on....the trails we so hard to try to keep open are gonna shut down more and more. Plus the sport is still growing....a catch 22 big time. The bigger this sport grows unfortunately the smaller the amount of legal riding areas their will be. I said 'legal' cuz as I've seen first hand with more riders comes all these new trails and off shoots that riders are creating not legally mind you. Landowners are getting *beep* and all these yahoos and atv mfg's are just screwin themselves over. The way things are going ....you'll be riding your hyper renegade in a enclosed track/area anyways....lol.
Don't buy into all the hype...#1 this bike will have nothing but issues because parts will fail and wear prematurely...the dealer will have a good laugh when you bring that broken down atv to him for repair. I can hear him now...."That's abuse....not a warranty issue Sir"...lol.
#2 You are not as young as you think....lol.
#3 Your wife will take half of everything even the bike...is it worth it?....lol.
#4 Don't buy unless you are mechanically inclined or have very very deep pockets.
#5 Remember most importantly are you helping the sport by buying the hype? Or ruining it's future? Your choice.

I agree with Koolkim about it getting crazey with the CCs. But i dont agree that it will fall apart. BRPs seems to be the most rugid ATVs on the market.

Thanks for the info DustinMinnesota, I will most certianly be riding this machine also in the near future. Just got back from a 125 mile ride today and I really think that an ATV with IRS is what I need to add a little more comfort to rides of that distance but I am not ready to give up all the sport quad in me just yet. I think the Renegade will be perfect. By the way, this is a great site, keep up the good work everyone.

Koolkim I love Polaris Scramblers and everyone that I ever owned I got great service out of it. Those things were bullet proof in 2 stroke trim. I sure wished Polaris would do it just one more time I miss the 400. Nothing like a 2 stroke in 4x4 in the snow doing doughnuts

I hear after actual release we may be getting another comparison informercial - what are they going to compare it too - the only other 4x4 sport quad is the Scrambler isn't it?

Oooops forgot the Wolverine

Yeah, seems like a no-brainer on whos going to win that one.. They might include the V-Force 700 and then go on how the renegade is so much better because its 4x4. I wonder if they will do the mud pit run?? That will be funny to see that thing in the mudhole shooting rooster tails 30ft in the air!!
