Hello to all, , I havn't been around much as it is my busy season here. Got some time to ride last weekend & noticed the springpin in the rear prop shaft is working it's way out.
Anyone else have this happen?
I tied some wire through it , so it can't come completely out.
Should I replace this pin?, or is there a bettter remedy?
I was considering a bolt/locknut.
If the pin was to work it's way out ,is there enough room for the splined shaft be able to come out of the yoke?
The bike still runs great! rode all day with a couple of Kawi's...I wouldn't trade rides for nuthin ! Smile

BC - I do not know if these are the same, but check this thread out... Farmr123 talks about 'Roll Pins' being used...

Just replace it with a new pin. They are held in by spring tension, and over time, lose their 'springyness' and can creep out. If you run it too long loose, the holes may become wobbled out, and a new pin may not hold very well.
The wire through it is a good idea to keep it from falling out. I'd get a new pin, and maybe wire it, just to be safe.
