Can I replace this with one from wally world or auto zone ?, the dealer wants 50.00 for an interstate;Also, is this a 12 V or 6 V battery? ?

Sure - as long as the electrical specs are the same (or close) and the physical characteristics are the same (size, terminal location).

I'm in the midst of replacing the factory stock battery in my son's 03 Pred-90. Unknown to me, there are 2 different "types" of batteries for our mini. One is a "el cheepo to sell it" and the other is a HD battery. HD batteries are used for higher compression engines &/or recommended for colder weather. Something to do with the MAX cranking amps. If wondering, there's $40 difference between both of these batteries. OUCH!!!!!

Depending upon your local weather (if you do winter driving), if you have high compression parts &/or your plan to "soon sell" your mini, do investigate if you need a regular or HD battery (if there is a range difference for your mini).

12v. I have a $20 Walmart battery on mine. Works a heck of a lot better than the stock one ever did.

Think you might run into physical sizing issues if you aren't careful though.
