hey folks

i started a introduction topic in the wrong place, sorry.

anyway i'm pete and i live in France. we've got 2 quads here:
2005 barossa 250 quaterback
2009 kymco maxxer 400

the barossa is standard apart from nurf bars
the kymco has the under side protection kit, nurf bars and we just got a snowplow for it that i've not even opened the box for.

living in a ski resort means there are lots of places to ride if a little hard in the depts of winter.

both the quads are just for fun but we're going to use the plow to clear the drive and parts of the street and for kicker (jump) building for skiiers and snowbaorders.
we're also going to use the kymco as a tow for the skiiers and boarders to go over the jumps (the quad wont be jumping, just passing the jump at speed)

i'll get some pics up once there is something worth looking at

anyway hello

Hi and welcome. That sounds like great fun for the skiers and you too on the quads. Are they using rope or holding on the backs for the launch?

I'm not up on European machines, what are they similar too?

yeah using a 10m rope with a wake boarding handle on the end.

the kymco is a 366cc single cylinder 4 stroke ohc, 2wd/4wd shaft driven, sport/utility jobby. indipendant suspension all round, alloys and a cvt gears with high/low and reverse.

the barrosa is a smaller machine with swing arm rear sus' and solid rear axel. 250cc 2 cylinder 4 stroke, chain driven, 5 speed manual + reverse.

Hey welcome! We use ATV's in the winter all the time. Just pulled my kids around the yard with mine today. Great to hear you're finding uses and still enjoying the ride. Now I want to see some pictures!

i'm planning taking the quad over the jump but to a step up not a normal up-down jump.. i don't like landing hard at speed in snow, it scares the life out of me.

pictures.. good point, i'll get one it, can show you the plow now it's fitted and tested too. brb
