The plow setup looks good. The only thing that you might want to think about is a trip edge the photos doesn't show any. Of course if you dont plow like me it might be alright. It possibly bend or crack something if you catch something. Not knocking your work looks axsome. Its just my two cents.

Has anyone experimented with any kind of coating to keep snow from sticking to the plow? Occasionally the snow conditions become sticky and it sticks to the plow and adds weight as well as keeping it from pushing right. I have had thoughts recently of trying a floor wax or something that might let that snow slide a little better. Any ideas?

You could install thin plastic puck board on the blade surface. My blade is all plastic so nothing sticks to it at all.

Good idea Stealth. Gonna try Future Floor Wax first and see if it creates a non-stick surface. If that dont work I'll try the puck board.

I wonder if there is some kind of Teflon paint, similar to a Teflon cooking pan? I can think of a couple applications for something like that.

sex wax same thing they use on snow boards and surf boards just take a block of this wax thatyou can get in any snowboard shop and rub it on the surface of your plow. As for the design of the plow looks great needs a spring trip so you don't break it when you chance of hitting things. as well as how heavy is it looks light does it ride up over this deeper snow?

I built mine a couple of years ago. Blade is made out of black plastic truck (as in semitruck) mud flaps. It's thick tough stuff that can be heated and curved with a heat gun. I built all my a-arm guards and skid plate out of the same stuff.

I put a two inch receiver on mine, so it's easily removable. It pivots left or right and has the springs that allow it to flip if I hit something hard. Bottom sliders are made from a couple pieces of a leaf spring welded to the bottom edge to keep the plow edge from riding on the pavement and wearing out the edge too rapidly.

Works great, and is about half as heavy as the steel unit I gave away with the Rubicon. Was fun to make to.

Here's some pics.
