I have a set of grip heaters that stick on under the oem rubber grips. I noticed a couple weeks back when I had my pod light apart to repair a broken wire that there were 3 pigtails behind the pod 2 female one male. Can these be used to power the grips If so which is which? I assume they are keyed power so if by chance i forget to turn off thr grips my battery will not be run down when I park the quad. Also I know there are 2 keyed pig tails under the fender high on the frame front Left side (as you sit) I guess I could use those but I was thinking about hooking up a horn there.

On the KQ, it's an orange wire that's keyed power in the pod. Don't know about the Vinson.

well after a year I got around installing the grip heaters 2 weekends ago. They work great I have only need to use the low setting as that has been hot enough.
I got the grips off with compressed air and a bit of twisting. put them back on the same way. got power from under the pod (orange wire) ran a ground back to the battery. installed a swithc on the pod near the key.

I know the wires your talking about. My winch was factory wired to one of them for the ignition-hot connection.. and I soldered/spliced onto that line with my heated grips.
I used to have them just raw hooked up to the battery.. but i kept forgetting to turn them off and killing the battery.. lol...
