So Buddy got an Antlered Moose draw in Manning AB and we are going up there for a week to put his tag on his first Bull. Neither of us has any knowledge of the zone as it is a 14 hour drive from Lethbridge but he has a resident Uncle that says Moose run around up there, so we are on it. Does any one have any information they can share about the area that we might find useful in our quest 1st week of November? Whitetails? Elk? …

Thanks for the response. No Moose. Never fired a shot. I figure they were more active at night. It is winter up there already with 8" of snow everywhere. Lots of tracks and some big Wolf tracks. The only moose we saw was a cow road kill on the way out. Lots of Whitetails and one decent Mule deer buck. Oh there are lots of Moose there we just never bumped into one. I did learn about Muskeg and ATVs ... not a good fit. An outfitter we met uses 2 tracked Argos with winches to get around. Good thing I took a 100' of 1”rope. So we have been taking out our frustrations on the coyote and Mule deer population in Southern Alberta since we got back. Here’s my ‘Manning’ Picasa Album.
