anybody melt the front fender on exhaust pipe if so how do you get it to stop. melted the clips for the side cover and that heatshield will not stay tight.how to fix Evil or Very Mad

I got mine fix 2 weeks a go under warranty. They replace the rear fender, side panel and the seat cover.

I also install the heat shield form the 2006. Heat deflector part # 7076000313 and 6 clip part # 517302674 total $30

Good idea ve1dxo. I just figured out how to reinstall my stock heat shield on the Big Gun exhaust. Hadn't thought of "surrounding" the pipe. Just might have to add that before I put it back together. By the way, did you have any problem with melted plastic, or just an ounce of prevention?

So mine melted but am way past warrentee! am I still covered or need to buy this kit? if I need to buy this kit? how much? and does anyone have any part numbers?
